Today Tom Tresser launched the Public Defender campaign to take back our city. This is a totally crowd-sourced, crowd-led and crowd-funded effort. This means you. Tom has started it but if it’s to go anywhere it will need thousands of people to get behind it. Any money earned through this campaign will be split in thirds: (1) to build the campaign, (2) to fund legal challenges to privatization deals – including the law suit to void the parking meter deal, (3) support candidates for local office who are Public Defenders.
